This Privacy Policy describes how RK Web Solutions ("Company", "we", "us" or "our"), operating under the brand Inferr AI, collects, uses, discloses and protects information in connection with the website located at inferrai.com (the "Website") and the Inferr AI application programming interface and models (the "API", and together with the Website, the "Services").
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through the Services. It does not apply to third-party services that link to or integrate with the Services, which are governed by their own privacy policies. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 API Content
When you submit a request to the API, we receive the content of that request, including the state, questions and options you provide ("API Content"), and we generate a response. API Content is processed in memory solely for the purpose of generating the response and is discarded once the response has been returned. We do not store API Content or responses in logs, databases or backups, and API Content is not accessed by our personnel.
2.2 Usage Data
For each API request, we record limited operational metadata ("Usage Data"), consisting of a request identifier, the API key or platform from which the request originated, the date and time, the model version, the number of input and output tokens, the associated cost, the processing time and the HTTP status code. Usage Data does not include API Content.
2.3 Contact and Account Information
If you contact us or request access to the API, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, company name and the contents of your correspondence.
2.4 Website Data and Cookies
The Website does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies or cross-site tracking technologies. Our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information when you visit the Website, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for the purposes of security and service operation.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information described above for the following purposes:
- to provide, operate and maintain the Services, including generating responses to API requests;
- to calculate usage and fees and to administer billing;
- to monitor capacity, performance and reliability, and to diagnose errors;
- to detect, investigate and prevent abuse, fraud, security incidents and unauthorised use of API keys;
- to respond to enquiries and communicate with you about the Services; and
- to comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use API Content, or any other information described in this Privacy Policy, to train, fine-tune or otherwise improve our models.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
Where data protection law requires a legal basis for processing personal data, we rely on the following: the performance of a contract with you, or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract; our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the Services, where those interests are not overridden by your rights; and compliance with our legal obligations.
5. Data Retention
- API Content: not retained. API Content exists only in memory for the duration of processing.
- Usage Data: retained for up to thirteen (13) months, after which it is deleted or aggregated so that it no longer relates to an identifiable customer or API key.
- Contact and Account Information: retained for the duration of our business relationship and thereafter for as long as necessary to comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.
- Website Data: retained by our hosting provider in accordance with its standard retention practices.
6. Disclosure of Information
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We disclose information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. We engage the following providers to operate the Services, each of which processes information on our behalf and only as necessary to provide its services: Modal Labs (United States), which provides the computing infrastructure on which the models run; Cloudflare, which hosts the Website and the API gateway; and our email service provider.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information where required to do so by law, regulation, legal process or an enforceable governmental request, or where necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of the Company, our customers or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation or sale of all or part of our business, information may be transferred to the acquiring party, subject to the commitments in this Privacy Policy.
7. International Data Transfers
The API is operated on infrastructure located in the United States, and the Website and API gateway are served through Cloudflare's global network. Your information may therefore be processed in countries other than the country in which you reside. Where required by applicable law, we rely on appropriate contractual safeguards provided by our service providers for such transfers.
8. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, loss and misuse. All connections to the Website and the API are encrypted using TLS. API keys are validated before any request reaches the models, keys can be revoked immediately upon request, and access to our systems is restricted to authorised personnel. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union and the United Kingdom, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to request its correction or erasure, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@inferrai.com. We will respond within thirty (30) days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your jurisdiction.
10. Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for businesses and developers and are not directed to individuals under the age of eighteen (18). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Where changes are material, we will notify API customers by email before the changes take effect.
